Our Coaches & Mentors
The NZCMC has over 15 Associate Mentors, Coaches and Supervisors throughout New Zealand and Australia. Our Director Loretta Brown leads the team of high performing and competent Associates.
Each coach is carefully selected for professionalism and effectiveness :
- Has a minimum 5 years supervised practice.
- Undertakes regular Supervision for continuous professional development
- Has a minimum undergraduate qualification or accredited coach specific training.
- Is a member of professional organisation (for example, ANZASW, NZPA, NZAC, ICF, EMCC).
- Maintains a minimum of 10 hours professional development per annum.
- Adherence to the NZCMC Code of Ethics and Standards

Alex is an experienced executive educator, coach and facilitator with over 20 years experience as an HR and OD leader in professional and financial service organisations.
After 10 years at PwC in the UK, Alex moved into independent consultancy in 2006 where his client base expanded to include not for profits, elite sport and public sector organisations.
Alex specialises in leadership development, leadership team effectiveness and the creation of trust based business partnerships and collaborations.
Patti has been mentoring and coaching since 2001 and is a Senior Associate with the New Zealand Coaching and Mentoring Centre. She works with CEO's, senior managers and emerging leaders wanting to step up to the development of Leadership competencies to enhance their personal growth and strategic thinking. Patti utilises her own experiences in Senior leadership roles and understands the challenges and often lonely space that senior leaders occupy. Her expertise and passion has developed specifically around Coaching for ‘Resilience' and 'Wise Leadership'.
Jan Robertson’s expertise focuses on professional learning and leadership development. In particular, her work in leadership coaching and boundary breaking leadership development has highlighted the importance of self-awareness and knowledge of others in leadership.
Terry is an executive mentor, working with CEOs, senior executives and managers who are wanting to grow their capacity and effectiveness as leaders.
Terry was the managing director of a highly successful international environmental and engineering consultancy for seventeen years. He is a practitioner facilitator at the New Zealand Leadership Institute, University of Auckland and a professional company director.
Monika has worked in Human Resources and Organisation & Leadership Development from startup to Fortune 100 companies for 15+ years. As an Executive Coach, she is passionate about facilitating her clients’ growth through increased self-awareness and exploring opportunities for leveraging their leadership strengths most effectively.
Monika has experience in a wide range of industries. She brings a strong international perspective and a rich assessment background to her coaching work.
Richard comes to professional mentoring and coaching from 30 years experience in all aspects of financial services, including wealth management, private banking, funds management and investment banking. Richard has also been involved with entrepreneurial start-ups and managing complex multi-jurisdictional businesses - all operating in highly regulated environments.
